Ian-Carl

Floirendo

Ian-Carl has been teaching with PNC for over 6 years. He offers a wide variety of lessons in voice, guitar, piano, ukulele, and songwriting and composition. In 2011, Ian enrolled at San Joaquin Delta College and studied classical voice under German Aguilar and sang and performed with both the chamber and jazz choirs. In 2013, he continued his music education at San Jose State University under the tutelage of Joseph Frank for voice and studied music composition with Dr. Pablo Furman and Dr. Brian Belet. He graduated from San Jose State in the fall of 2019 with a BM in Music Composition. He has experience working with many genres of music from classical to pop and jazz and R&B and challenges his students to learn and play music from different genres as well.

 

Aside from teaching students at PNC, Ian is currently working with the Alum Rock Jazz Band as their vocal coach and instructor and has been with them for over 4 years. In early spring of 2019, he also began working with First Presbyterian Church of Mountain View as director of the handbell choir as well as a vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the church’s praise band.
